My name is Elvis Williams, a two-time Grammy Award-winning producer and founder of Hero Alert. The inspiration for this solution came from a traumatic experience I had on July 21, 2021, while staying at the W Hotel in Brickell, Miami. Early that morning, I heard someone attempting to enter my room with a gun. In a panic, I called hotel security and dialed 911. While trying to provide critical information to the 911 dispatcher, the situation escalated, and the dispatcher, growing frustrated, hung up on me. Not knowing if help was coming was one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

Thankfully, hotel security arrived and removed the gunman, but the experience exposed a glaring flaw in our 911 system: the inability to quickly and effectively communicate under pressure. This incident motivated me to create Hero Alert, ensuring that no one else has to face such uncertainty in an emergency. Hero Alert is designed to deliver essential information—quickly and clearly—so help arrives when it’s needed most.
